Event Details

One of two core skill-building courses designed to help students gain metalsmithing experience for jewelry making. The objective of this class is to familiarize students with the process if soldering for jewelry using sterling silver and solder for precious metals.  Students will fabricate a beautiful wearable made of sterling silver wire, and gain an understanding of the differences in solder types and uses. The results – a stunning piece of jewelry sure to get complements!

Class is one two hour session, and most projects can be completed within this time, depending on each individual’s ability and the design.  All materials and tools are supplied.

Take Hammered Textured Jewelry class and Soldering for Jewelry to get the core skills and be able to move on to more involved jewelry designs in our Masters’ Series in Metalsmithing Classes.
