Stained Glass is Back!

Stained glass

Three years in the making – and thanks to the local chapter of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Downers Grove – Gallery’s Choice makes its way back to the community to teach their passion with a live, in-person classroom.

Beginning on April 6, at the Moose Lodge located at 1030 Warren Ave, Gallery’s Choice is pleased to offer one of it’s mainstay classes – a 4-week Beginner/Intermediate Stained Glass class. Afternoon (3 PM) and evening (6:30 PM) sessions are available. (Other workshops and additional classes are being planned – so stay tuned!)

Join us – we’d love to see you! Register today as space is limited.

Classes start
Thursday, April 6th!

“It’s my joy to be back – stained glass is our passion and when you are as excited about something as we are – it’s natural to want to share that and pass it along,” according to the owners and artists in residence, “Miss” Rose and “Mr.” Bill Jarecki. “I know “Mr.” Bill is looking forward to starting with students again, as well.”

But this time, there’s a little more to it, “Miss” Rose points out.

“Finding the Moose Lodge was more than just finding a venue – renting a hall. We are impressed by the Mission of the Loyal Order of the Moose and their organization’s purpose just seems in perfect alignment to ours. The Moose is an international organization of men and women dedicated to caring for young and old, bringing communities closer together, and celebrating life. Their demonstrated support of those in need through IL-based Mooseheart for children and FL- based Moosehaven for seniors, along with other fund-raising activities benefiting recognized charities such as St. Jude, present special opportunities for us to make a greater impact.”

Gallery’s Choice has always been a ‘special’ kind of business. Art instruction is an activity that celebrates people, community and creates joy. “That’s what I have personally missed the most after we were dislodged from our brick-and-mortar by COVID and other life events,” Jarecki states. “It’s the sense that we supported the lives of others as we provided classes. Students weren’t just customers – they were family.

“So, it seems perfect, to me, that we should come back to Downers Grove in this manner, to reconnect with friends and students, and to celebrate our 20 year anniversary of being in business, while supporting the good works of another impactful organization!”

Classes are open to new students and will provide the opportunity for existing students whose projects were interrupted by unforeseen events of 2020 to re-engage and finish! (Existing Gallery’s Choice Stained Glass students should contact us directly for more information: 630-969-5660.)
