Show Notes:

Art and Home Decor Fused Bowl Episode #6: Fusing and Fennel

This is the Art for Life Podcast by Gallery’s Choice, and I am your host, Rose Jarecki. Gallery’s Choice’s Art for Life Podcast series. Meant to explore the creative side of life by sharing tips techniques, inspirations and recipes with the goal of living well.  Whether you are an artist, an artist wanna be, a regular Jane or Joe Doe, with some time to kill, I promise there is something in here for all of you. We will talk about our business and how to be a great career creative. We will get you started if you never, or you never knew you could. And we will share anything we discover on the topics of being healthy, happy and wise…

Working in glass as an artist for over 20 years, the intoxicating effects of glass medium is not missed by me.  Color light, texture – it’s all there.  And even if you have worked with mosaic or stained glass art before, you know there’s more to it.  Visit a local museum and it is hard to miss the sculptural glass pieces.  Or walk through an art fair during the summer – it’s hard not to be drawn to a table of sparkling glass jewelry. If you ever wondered “How do they do it?” or are wondering how you might start to incorporate fusing into your own art repertoire, keep listening.  Today, we are going to take the next step by exploring the warm and wonderful world of glass fusing, as seen through the eyes of our very own kiln master!

In today’s podcast we will give you an understanding of the difference between cold, warm and hot glass.

We’ll talk about what kinds of projects you can make by fusing glass.

And we will share what you will need to get started.
